About Me

I am an experienced educator with nearly two decades in secondary and higher education. Holding a Master's in TESL & Literacy and an AZ Reading Endorsement, I began my career as an ESL high school teacher, transitioning to a full-time Reading Faculty position at the community college level in 2012. For the past decade, I have refined my instructional expertise by implementing adult learning theory, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, and open educational resources, while developing diverse course modalities, including blended, hybrid, and online formats.

Driven by my desire for systemic change, I pursued a second Master's in Organizational Performance & Workplace Learning in 2019. This advanced training has equipped me with skills in performance gap analysis, training development, organizational needs assessment, and programmatic evaluation.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I spent 15 years in the service industry, which instilled a strong service-oriented philosophy in my work as an educator and instructional designer. My commitment to designing exceptional user experiences in the classroom and trainings, is further fueled by my passion for innovative technologies and challenging traditional learning paradigms. I am dedicated to creating consistent and effective learning experiences across programs for all students.
